This time of year during spring and throughout summer also, is a good time to embrace feminine fashions. More elegant styles and pastel colours are perfect for the season ahead.

Feminine style primarily consists of skirts and dresses, mainly light pastel tones and beautiful detailing. Other items include heels, and ballet flats.

Look for more elegant styles that are form-fitting and colourful for your wardrobe.

Colours

From pretty pastels, warm neutrals and lots of pink! However, it’s also about bright and vibrant colours.

Soft Fabrics

Soft, flowy fabrics like chiffon, silk, cotton and also lace. Materials like these are very feminine.

All in the details

Little detailing on blouses or dresses can instantly give them a feminine touch. Bows, pearls, ruffles, and frills oh my! All add a beautiful vibe to just a plain blouse.

Accessories

Adding a few accessories to an outfit can make such a difference. Dainty jewellery, hats, headbands, sunglasses and a pretty coloured handbag are guaranteed to make your outfit more feminine. Add a pink handbag to any outfit and will look so much more girly.

Tulle

Nothing says feminine more than a big, pink tulle dress! They are so dreamy and will make you feel like a princess. Especially one with embroidered flowers or a little bow on the waist.

Floral print is signature to this style. Whether in a dress, skirt or pyjamas it is staple.

Different feminine styles:

Romantic

A romantic style is all about soft tones such as pinks, lavenders and creams. They blend together seamlessly with other styles. Scarves with soft patterns complement romantic aesthetic perfectly.

Vintage Elegance

Classic styles that are elegant and high quality consisting of straight cuts and a balanced silhouette.

Whimsical Feminine

Defined by over the top silhouettes, dramatic nature. Ingrained with curiosity. Styles include striking materials such as frills, feathers, sequins, and rhinestones. Very glam.

Another aesthetic/personality of feminine style could be ‘cottage core’, tends to be categorised as a modernised version of historical fashion or a practical outfit that includes elements of whimsy. Consists of airy, light dresses, romantic blouses and dresses and cosy knitwear like cardigans. Natural colours, romantic detailing and countryside patterns.
