A guide for all fashionistas or people wanting to add more staple pieces to their wardrobe of all the essentials you need that can be worn all year round! No matter the year, these staples are timeless and never go out of style!

A classic trench coat

Nothing says classy like a trench coat! A trench coat is a great piece to have in your wardrobe as it is a lightweight and breathable material, it is great for any time of year, particularly during the transitional seasons in Spring and Autumn! It can be styled with anything and will instantly make any outfit look more stylish!

Look for trench coats in local second hand stores or online websites such as Depop, Vinted or Ebay. If you can afford to splurge no one does a classic trench coat like Burberry.

A good pair of sunglasses

Sunglasses are a great accessory as they are versatile and so stylish! They give every outfit a touch of class and can make you feel more confident. I have quite the collection of sunglasses but just one pair of stylish sunglasses is all you need!

You can find sunglasses anywhere and there are so many different styles it’s just about finding which ones make you feel most confident and will go well with your outfits. For me, I love expensive looking sunnies but are much more affordable. My favourite pair of sunglasses were bought from New Look so definitely look there if you are after a chic pair of sunglasses!

Handbags galore!

I’m such a sucker for handbags, I never leave the house without one and a good handbag that can be paired with anything is something every girl needs in their wardrobe! There are plenty of styles of handbags but finding which one is best for you can help you, for example if you travel to work and have to carry a lot of things with you, you may be suited to a big, shoulder bag or satchel, in whatever style suits you. Always get handbags in colours you love and wear often, this ensures they will go with almost anything you wear!

Trousers and skirts you can pair with anything

Having different styles of trousers and skirts you can style with different pieces and dress up or dress down can make such a difference in your wardrobe. They go with just about anything especially, if you buy them in classic colours e.g. white, brown and black for everyday and then a pair or piece in your favourite colour for a dressed up look.

Blazers

A blazer is staple piece for your wardrobe, they look smart and elevate any look to perfection. The best thing about blazers is you can find them in just about every colour and can be paired with anything, even jeans! Blazers are a staple and make you feel so confident when you wear them.

Shirts

Another great versatile item for your wardrobe is a classic white shirt! They can be paired with jeans, skirts or trousers and they still look good! A shirt doesn’t just have to be worn for an occasion, they are a good piece as you can style them in a casual way or a dressed up look.

A Little Black Dress

The little black dress or ‘LBD’ has stood the test of time and remains to this day, a classic wardrobe item. Without a doubt, a LBD will never fail you and is always useful to have one in your wardrobe. If you have watched breakfast at Tiffany’s you probably think of the iconic Holly Golightly look that Audrey Hepburn pulled off so well, it’s definitely one of the best movie looks of all time. Similarly, A little white dress, is something every girl should always have in their wardrobe they are both classic colours for a reason!
